Pray for wisdom!

James 1:5 says, “now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all generously and without reproach; and it will be given to him.” CJB

There’s a huge difference between wisdom and skill. Skill is obtained over time and the experience brings the confidence to do well, while wisdom is a gift from God and is not a respecter of age or time. Having a skill without wisdom can be harmful and that is why we need to pray for wisdom. Furthermore, we must also pray for destiny helpers who possess Godly wisdom.

Esther was blessed to have a mature and wise uncle like Mordecai. I might seem to be repeating the same point, but I think there’s a reason and perhaps that’s the message that is standing out for this season. Godly counsel is key and if you have such people in your life, you’re truly blessed. Therefore, listen and do as they tell you for there are blind spots that you might not be aware of and God will use your mentors and coaches to help you develop and grow in life.

As we continue to the exposition of the book of Esther, we’ll understand why Mordecai charged Esther not to reveal her family and descendants.

“Esther had not revealed her people or family, for Mordecai had charged her not to reveal it.” Esther 2:10 NKJV

“Now Esther had not revealed her family and her people, just as Mordecai had charged her, for Esther obeyed the command of Mordecai as when she was brought up by him.” Esther 2:20 NKJV
