I pray all is well with you and your loved ones. Have you ever wondered if what you are doing is really pleasing God? The reality is no one can meet the perfection and holiness of YHW for we are mortal and born in sin while He is immortal and forever Holy. However, there is hope in Christ our Lord for He “knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV.
Leviticus 20:26 and 1 Peter 1:16 remind us that Adonai Elohim is Holy and He wants us to be holy as He is. These scriptures are not commanding us to be self-righteous, but rather challenge us to submit our lives to the living God Jehovah and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us into Christlikeness. This can be achieved by recognising and acknowledging our sinful nature for we are not different from what is stated in Isaiah chapter 64. However, there is hope in Christ our Lord for He has paid the price for our redemption. Therefore, let us turn away from our sins and be reconciled to God so that we can gaze at the beauty of His holiness.
“6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.” Romans 5:6-11 NKJV
I pray that the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, righteousness and judgement to come. John 16:8-10. I pray that we hunger and thirst for holiness for without it no one can see God. Hebrews 12:14. I pray that this message challenges you to do introspection and life stock and come to Jesus who saves. Have a blessed weekend!
