Today’s character that I would like us to look at is Hannah in 1 Samuel chapter 1. You can read the entire chapter to get the context and answer the following questions.
a) Where do you think Hannah was as far as mental health is concerned when Peninnah provoked Hannah because Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children?
b) Can you imagine how Hannah was feeling for years as she was a joke and mockery to her opponent Peninnah as the Lord had closed her womb?
Year after year you have prayed and trusted the Lord to bless you with that item that has caused your heart to be hardened and depressed, but still nothing is manifesting. Today, I just want to pray and stand in agreement with you my beloved believing that Adonai Elohim will remember you as He remembered Hannah. May your prayers be answered in the name of Jesus and as you delight in Him may He grant you the desires of your heart! Psalms 37:3-5.
“19 Then they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. 20 So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.” 1 Samuel 1:19-20 NKJV
#remember me Lord!
#season of breakthrough!
#”Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Psalms 50:15 NKJV
What a thought provoking scripture.
Her mental health was probably in shambles.
She might have thought the Lord had abandoned her or even thinking she was being punished for something, which is what in the old testament we see most people believe was the reason for any adversary in one’s life.
Had Hannah knew that she was going to bore such a powerful man, she would’ve rejoiced in all her suffering. But we thank God that she kept on trusting and believing God.
She never stopped going to the temple, even when she was speaking to God, the priest thought she was drunk, not knowing what kind of wars she was up against
Thank you for your comment and contribution.
The testimony of Hannah reminds us all to continue trusting YHW even when we look like we have lost our minds, but continue pressing on for faithful is He who has promised!
Stay blessed for the best is yet to come!
