Praying for the will of God to be done in our lives is not an easy prayer, and sometimes the waiting can be frustrating. While there are opportunities that will present themselves as answers to what we are praying for, if we do not have the Spirit of discernment or fail to listen to Godly counsel, we expose ourselves to great vulnerability. Therefore, my dear friend, do not be found outside the will of God, and NEVER make decisions based on convenience, because you will be hurt!
Anything contrary to the Word of God is not right for you. Certain things are accepted and common to everyone, but as a born-again believer, professing Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour, your measure of truth is the Bible, not the standard of the world. Remember what Romans 12:1-2 says, remain humbled and learn to listen to those who have Godly wisdom, for pride comes before destruction. Proverbs 16:18. People who do not listen to the Godly counsel regret the consequences of their actions and sometimes die in sin, for the wages of sin is death! Romans 6:23. Please observe the account of Numbers chapter 14 and ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten the eyes of your understanding to see the truth in the passages of scripture.
“A Futile Invasion Attempt
39 Then Moses told these words to all the children of Israel, and the people mourned greatly. 40 And they rose early in the morning and went up to the top of the mountain, saying, “Here we are, and we will go up to the place which the Lord has promised, for we have sinned!” 41 And Moses said, “Now why do you transgress the command of the Lord? For this will not succeed. 42 Do not go up, lest you be defeated by your enemies, for the Lord is not among you. 43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and you shall fall by the sword; because you have turned away from the Lord, the Lord will not be with you.” 44 But they presumed to go up to the mountaintop. Nevertheless, neither the ark of the covenant of the Lord nor Moses departed from the camp. 45 Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites who dwelt in that mountain came down and attacked them, and drove them back as far as Hormah.” Numbers 14:39:45 NKJV
In Numbers 14:44, Moses was a Priest and a great intercessor who spoke face-to-face with Jehovah. While the ark of the covenant of the Lord represented the glory and presence of YHW. Imagine facing the battle without Jesus, and how will your life be without His grace, or who will escape the wrath of God if He keeps account of all our sins! Psalms 32:1-2. Can you imagine if the Lord would treat us as our sins deserve? My soul blesses the name of the Lord God the Almighty for not treating us as our sins deserve. Psalms chapter 103. Oh! Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the redemptive grace and adoption into your kingdom; I pray that the Holy Spirit draw us close to You as your workmanship, and never be found outside the will of God. Ephesians 2:8-10.
