We are living in times of artificial this and artificial that, leading to the scarcity of authenticity. Subsequently, trust and loyalty are very scarce, and most people, even when they meet someone genuine, will always question the motive or miss meaningful connections. While some people would prolong their destiny trying to test the behaviour or character of those whom the Lord has brought to be a blessing to them. I am sure you have heard people saying, “The time will tell.” However, some people are unaware of the psychological impact of testing an authentic person, and the cost can be high because they are not blind or naive as you carry on with your exploration. Therefore, after your exploration and think you have made it, do not be surprised when you receive resentment from people who genuinely cared for you because your behaviour raises a question of “How can I trust someone who does not trust me and would not give me a chance to get to know me personally, but take other people’s accounts? I am not saying you should not test people’s characters, motives, and behaviour to assert authenticity. Still, all I am saying is, be prepared to pay the price if your conduct is grounded in the world standard instead of Biblical principles. For Jesus said that we will know His disciples by their fruits, and the fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians chapter 5 can only develop when you are rooted in Christ, not mimicking others.
“You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV
I pray for guidance, peace, and clarity. I pray that we allow the Holy Spirit to lead, direct, and reveal the will of our heavenly Father for our lives. I pray for authenticity and Godly characters that testify that we are the children of Light.
