“But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s command brought by his eunuchs; therefore the king was furious, and his anger burned within him.” Esther 1:12 NKJV
The Queen refused to entertain the king’s command and the king was very angry leading to the replacement of the Queen. We’ll explore the king’s reaction as we proceed with our study, but I have a few questions for you today. How do you deal with anger? Do you even know your triggers? Have you done any assessment to see the damages that your anger has caused in your relationships?
Until you admit that you have a problem, you will never be assisted because even those who are supporting you cannot give you peace until you surrender. Anger is dangerous and if you do not believe me then spell the word DANGER and see if ANGER does not dominate!
I pray all goes well with you and if this is one of your struggles; please seek help and support. Here are a few verses that deal with anger, be blessed:
“Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go, lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul.” Proverbs 22:24-15 NKJV
“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27 NKJV
“He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.” Proverbs 16:32 NKJV
“Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, than in a house shared with a contentious woman.” Proverbs 21:9 NKJV
“It is better to live on a corner of the roof than to share the house with a nagging wife.” Proverbs 21:9 CJB
Better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and angry woman. Proverbs 21:19 NKJV
“It is better to live in the desert than with a nagging, irritable wife.” Proverbs 21:19 CJB
“Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret—it only causes harm.” Psalms 37:8 NKJV
