We are living in a perverse world that has rejected the statutes of God, and holiness is ridiculed while walking naked is gratified. If Genesis chapter 3 never took place, perhaps walking naked in public would have been accepted. 1 Corinthians 6:9-20 reminds us that our bodies are the temple of God and we should glorify God in our bodies. In the context of modesty, I would like to highlight a few points that the Lord showed me when I was praying on Monday, 04 May 2026.
After God created humankind, the Bible tells us that “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” Genesis 2:25 NKJV. Please pay attention, “they were both naked, the man and his wife,” not a boyfriend and the girlfriend or situationships, but the man and his wife were both naked. If you call yourself a Christian and are not ashamed to walk naked or actively take your clothes off everywhere in the name of fun and experimentation, you’d better repent before the presence of God departs from you, because sin separates us from God.
“8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”’ Genesis 3:8-10 NKJV
“9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NKJV
If walking naked in public was acceptable, this verse wouldn’t have been added to the Bible. “Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.” Genesis 3:21 NKJV
Lastly, be a good steward and glorify God in your body.
“Glorify God in Body and Spirit
12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:12-20 NKJV
#modesty represents self-respect, and respect towards others!
#cover yourself in public and be naked to God for He wants the authenticity of you!
#“1O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.” Psalms 139:1-2 and 12 NKJV
