No one can escape the highs and lows presented by the pressures of life. The question is, how do you maintain peace within yourself, your surroundings and those who provoke you? In Romans chapter 12, the Bible tells us to be overcomers of evil and not succumb to the anger of this world. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21 NKJV. Therefore, we must remind ourselves that we are peacemakers and stay calm when we are being provoked because some fights are won in silence, not through the volume of words we speak. Maybe you’re facing opposition, or on one of the days, you will find yourself in a sticky situation and not know how to handle it. Well, my dear friend, please walk away and remember the following scriptures knowing that no one will harm you when you do good!
“Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.” 1 Thessalonians 5:15 NKJV
“17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”says the Lord.” Romans 12:17-19 NKJV
“9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For, “Whoever would love life
and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. 11 They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?” 1 Peter 3:9-13 NKJV
