As we continue with the series of healing, I think it is important for us to pray for the healing of our land. The Bible commands us to pray for our government and all that are in authority. Therefore, we cannot only focus on ourselves when we pray but we should pray for everyone in our land.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV
The prosperity of our land deeply depends on the decisions made by those who are in positions of authority. Yet it is critically important to pray for good corporate governance in order to heal the predicament of the high unemployment rate and poor service delivery in our country. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” Proverbs 29:2 NKJV
