Steward is motivated by trust and intrinsic values (Van Thiel, 2024). Stewardship theory depicts subordinates as trustworthy, pro-organizational and collectivists (Davis, Schoorman & Donaldson, 1997). The Bible tells us that if you can be trusted in small and minor things, so you can be trusted with bigger things. I pray that we develop the attitude of faithfulness for that is where our integrity is tested. May the scriptures below be an encouragement to you as you strive for excellence for Jehovah God sees everything.
“God Sees Behind Appearances
10-13 Jesus went on to make these comments: If you’re honest in small things, you’ll be honest in big things; if you’re a crook in small things, you’ll be a crook in big things. If you’re not honest in small jobs, who will put you in charge of the store? No worker can serve two bosses: He’ll either hate the first and love the second or adore the first and despise the second. You can’t serve both God and the Bank.” Luke 16:10-13 MSG
“10 Someone who is trustworthy in a small matter is also trustworthy in large ones, and someone who is dishonest in a small matter is also dishonest in large ones. 11 So if you haven’t been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who is going to trust you with the real thing? 12 And if you haven’t been trustworthy with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what ought to belong to you? 13 No servant can be slave to two masters, for he will either hate the first and love the second or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.”’ Luke 16:10-13 CJB
“10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? 13 “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”’ Luke 16:10-13 NKJV
#there is no price for integrity!
#be faithful when no one sees you for God is watching!
#“and whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV
