I am certain that if many of us would get an opportunity to retaliate and deal with those who are troubling us, we would not think otherwise but avenge ourselves as it happened in Esther 9:5-19. However, in Matthew 5:43 -48; Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who spitefully use us and persecute us. Therefore, no matter what you are going through or how difficult the challenges you might be facing in life, please forgive and release the pain in order for you to walk in freedom, peace and love for vengeance belongs to the Lord. Romans 12:18-19 and Deuteronomy 32:35.
“43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5: 43-48 NKJV
You may argue and say, who am I to tell you to let it go! My dear friend, I am here to tell you not to block your blessings because of bitterness in your heart but to release the pain and walk in forgiveness in order for you to experience healing and grace. As difficult as it is, please treat others the way you would like to be treated!
“14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6: 14-15 NKJV
