Whether you like it or not, knowing or unknowing but there is someone monitoring every move you make and watching every step you take in life. Whether you have convictions or not, but the monitors will know exactly who you are and sometimes see your potential before you even discover it yourself. This might be confusing but to simplify let us read Esther 3:1-5 and Daniel 3:8-14. The decrees were issued but Mordecai, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego refused to succumb because they knew who they were and what they believed in. Their convictions were stronger than the consequences of failing to disobey their God. They believed that YHW was the Lord and only He deserved their honour and praise!
So, will you have the tenacity to stand firm in your faith when your convictions get you into trouble? Will you be strong enough to stand before the angry kings or rulers?
“When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow or pay him homage, Haman was filled with wrath.” Esther 3:5 NKJV. “13Then Nebuchadnezzar, in rage and fury, gave the command to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. So they brought these men before the king. 14 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up?” Daniel 3:13-14 NKJV
