There is a danger of not understanding your position and finding comfort in a misplaced gift. This often leads to disappointment, unmet expectations, and hurting others. However, when you know your position, regardless of the challenges you meet in life, persecution, belittlement, or any form of opposition, you remain peaceful because you know who you are and never get distracted from your assignment. For example, John knew that he was not the LIGHT, but his role was to bear witness to that Light which is Jesus! Yet, John was effective in his ministry. Therefore, if you are uncertain about your gift, ask the giver of the gift, which is Jehovah, and He will enlighten the eyes of your understanding so that you can be fruitful. James 1:27
“John’s Witness: The True Light
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:6-13 NKJV
I pray for authenticity in serving the Lord and others. I pray against the spirit of pride, ungodly competition, and striving for “pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18 NKJV. I pray for humility in both times of success and failures, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”’ 1 Peter 5:5 NKJV

#“7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this, the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.” 1 John 4:7-9 NKJV
