As we continue with the healing series, I have realized that after every hurt or disappointment, one needs to be intentional about dealing with the issues in order to use the past as a training ground instead of viewing it as an emotional battlefield. There is nothing that happens to us by mistake and some things happen to us so that we can be humbled but nothing happens to us without Abba Father’s authorization. The Bible tells us that “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV. Therefore, no matter where you might find yourself, acknowledge the downfalls and do not stay there for too long. However, please arise and ask God to give you strength and wisdom for the journey ahead, and most importantly be committed to your healing process! James 1:5 and Isaiah 40:28-31.
Lastly, as you embrace your healing journey, please stay away from hatred, resentment, and bitterness for faith works through love. Galatians 5:6. Remember we are not fighting against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:10-20. Therefore, be at peace with God while fighting on your knees and be at peace with everyone around you. “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18 NKJV
