Shalom aleikhem!
I greet you in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I pray that 2025 will be a blessed year for all of us and above all things may the Lord God the Almighty open the eyes of our understanding to see Jesus as the King of glory and the only solution to every problem or challenge we might be facing in life. Ephesians 1:15-23.
As we start the new year, I would like us to please release everyone who ever caused us harm and let go of any aspects of unforgiveness, bitterness, and resentment for this will cause our prayers not to be answered. “18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear. 19 But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.” Psalms 66:18-19 NKJV
Please take time to study the book of Corinthians and see if you are different from the behaviour that Paul was rebuking and zoom into 2 Corinthians 1: 15-24, 2 Corinthians 2: 1-11, and 2 Corinthians 7: 1-12. Remember unforgiveness opens up doors for the enemy, blocks our blessings, and subsequently separates us from YHW.
“8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him. 9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things. 10 Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2: 1-11 NKJV
Forgiveness is a command, not a suggestion. If you have doubts, please take a close look at the following scriptures in Matthew 6:
“12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Matthew 6:12 NKJV
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 NKJV
In conclusion beloved, it is important to highlight that embracing forgiveness does not mean we have to subject ourselves to abuse and disrespect. However, we need to set strict boundaries and prioritize our well-being. For peace’s sake, we have to protect our hearts.
“23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 NKJV
Have a blessed day and please forgive and protect your heart!
